DRM workshop for subcommittee members of Somaliland Local Councils

The objective of the workshop was to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate DRM seamlessly into their roles within the local councils. Through interactive discussions, and practical exercises, participants were encouraged to explore innovative approaches and best practices in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Participants shared insights gathered from their diverse experiences and engaged in spirited debates on strategies to fortify their communities against the ever-present threats of natural disasters and unforeseen shocks.

Beyond theoretical frameworks, the workshop nurtured a culture of proactive leadership and collective responsibility. Participants were inspired to envision a future where every decision, every initiative, and every policy prioritized community safety and resilience.
